APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Minutes from July 15, 2011, were approved as written.
WANOVA OVERVIEW AND DEMO
John Fritsch and Gaurav Prasad were on hand from Wanova to demonstrate the Wanova Mirage desktop computer image mangement software. Mirage allows maintenanc of a master copy of an desktop image on a server and allows server site updates to the OS and applications for later updates on the desktop (or laptop) device. It also support server side snapshots to enable file recovery or image roll back. Mirage can also support provisioning of new desktop or laptop machines.
Philip Baczewski announced that the ITSM 7.6 system was ready to be put in production and proposed an August 7 transition date with the new system available as of Monday August 8. Concensus of the distributed managers was to accept the August 8 rollout date.
No new business was discussed.
Vasilis Angelogiannos (Col. Of Public Admin & Comm. Svc.) introduced Kris Selby who is new to the PACS IT staff.
Allen Bradley reminded distributed managers of the request for records in regard to certain software license agreements and purchase history reports to satisfy a open record request being handled by the Office of General Council and requested information by August 10.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:34 a.m. The next meeting is scheduled for September 2, 2011.
