Our Mission
The mission of the Office of Development is to secure private financial resources to support the long-term progress of the university and enhance excellence in education for the university's students. Through established relationships with alumni and friends, corporations, foundations and organizations, the Office of Development is dedicated to advancing the university as a premier research and teaching institution. In all its activities, the Office of Development is committed to upholding the standard of excellence that guides the entire university community.
Our Objectives
In support of our mission, the Office of Development works hard to
- provide students a chance to succeed by increasing scholarship dollars
- enhance faculty development and research by attracting private funds and grants
- build partnerships with corporations, foundations and organizations
- expand giving opportunities through estate and planned giving services
- maintain ties with alumni and friends through special events and written communications
- recognize the commitment and loyalty of our donors
