Biography Brief
Dr. Jack Rozdilsky is an Assistant Professor in the
Emergency Administration and Planning Program. He joined the program in 2005
after completing a hazards research-related doctorate at Michigan State
University. In his doctoral research, he focused on analysis of the long-term
recovery from the volcanic disaster on the Eastern Caribbean Island of
Montserrat. In the mid-1990’s, Dr. Rozdilsky also studied post-disaster new
town creation as a result of the 1993 Mississippi River Flood disaster. Prior to
joining the University of North Texas faculty, Dr. Rozdilsky worked as a land
use agent with Michigan State University Extension and the Tri-County Regional
Planning Commission where he guided the development of hazard mitigation plans
for Mid-Michigan’s Lansing Region.
