Lanette McClure, Administrative Assistant

Lanette McClure began her long career at UNT by working at the College Bookstore in 1980.  During her over 27 years with UNT, she has worked at the Professional Development Institute, Key Control, and the University Union, before joining the staff of the Multicultural Center in November, 2005. 

Serving on the National Youth Sports Program advisory board for seven years, receiving multiple “Soaring Eagle” awards, as well as the Staff Contribution Award, all distinguish her career at UNT.  She hopes to continue with the UNT Multicultural Center until her retirement in 2010!    

Lanette has been married for 22 years, and has two beautiful daughters.  Her family lives “out in the country” in Greenwood, Texas- and love it!  The family moved back there from Denton 1992 to help care for her father, and now her daughters have attended the same school both her and her own mother did!  The family includes two cats- Phil and Lil- and a dog named Princess.
