Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board's Report on Academic Performance of Texas Public Universities - Issues: A summary of the academic performance of public universities in Texas including: headcount, enrollment by ethnicity, 6-year graduation rates and more. These statistics are used along with other reports to determine institutional "accountability."
The Texas Legislature Online - In November members of the Legislature began filling bills for the spring 2001 session. The Texas Legislature Online site is updated daily. Many of the proposed bills will affect Higher Education and UNT. Search by bill number, sponsor, committee or topic.
UCITA - Uniform Computer Information Transaction Act (Texas Library Association On the Legislative Front Information Page) - A version of UCITA was introduced February 14, 2001 by Sen. John Carona as S.B. 709 Articles in the Chronicle of Higher Education predict serious consequences for academic freedom, faculty research, classroom teaching, and the costs of doing business when UCITA legislation is passed.
