NEW Promotion and Tenure Policies

Michael Nieswiadomy, chair of the University Tenure Committee, presented a new Promotion and Tenure policy at the May Faculty Senate meeting.  To read the new policy click here.  It was also agreed upon that this is a dynamic document and will be reviewed by the committee and Provost every year.

Ad Hoc Committee on Legal Affairs final report

In 2007 the Faculty Senate voted to create an ad hoc committee to look into the relationship between UNT and the Office of General Counsel.  They researched the role of the OGC in grievances and the tenure and promotions process along with many other areas of concern.  To read their complete report click here.
