Councils

National Panhellenic Council Blowout

UNT Greeks are governed by student-facilitated governing councils. These councils, along with Office of Greek Life staff, provide leadership to the North Texas Greek Community. Each council provides programming and direction in the areas of scholarship, service and leadership development. Council officers are elected to provide appropriate resources and support to their member chapters.

Interfraternity Council (IFC) — The governing body of 15 fraternities at North Texas. IFC is a legislative body consisting of an executive board and chapter delegates. The IFC coordinates joint activities, programming and provides support to member chapters.

Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) — The governing body for the six culturally-based fraternities and sororities at North Texas. The MGC coordinates educational and service programming for the member chapters.

National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) — The governing body of nine historically African-American fraternities and sororities at North Texas. The NPHC coordinates educational and service programming for the member chapters.

Panhellenic Council — The governing body of seven sororities at North Texas affiliated with the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC). Panhellenic is a legislative body consisting of an executive board and chapter delegates. The Panhellenic coordinates joint activities, programming and provides support to member chapters.
