National Pan-Hellenic Council
The UNT National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) serves to unite the nine historically Black Greek-letter fraternities and sororities:
While these organizations are historically African-American, they are open to men and women of all races. The UNT chapter of the National Pan-Hellenic Council was chartered in 1995. Since that time, the council has been a strong, positive force on the campus.
Membership in an NPHC organization is selective and is a life-long commitment that continues long after your collegiate career. NPHC has graduate/alumni chapters nationwide that you may affiliate with upon graduating. These graduate chapters can be especially beneficial when relocating or changing careers.
Interest meetings for each organization vary throughout the fall and spring semester. In September of each year, a Fraternity Forecast and Sorority Showcase is held to introduce all nine chapters to prospective members. This event provides an opportunity to gain knowledge and information about each group.

NPHC Showcase — September 8th @ 7:00pm, University Union Lyceum (3rd floor)
If you are considering membership in one of the NPHC fraternities and sororities at North Texas, plan to attend the Sorority Showcase and Fraternity Forecast each September (September 8th @7:00 pm Lyceum Union 3rd floor). The NPHC council sponsors this program every fall to inform prospective members about each individual organization. During the semester, you will be introduced to all nine organizations on campus. You will receive a brief overview of NPHC and have a chance to interact with the different members. The following days will be set aside for you to get a more in depth look at each fraternity or sorority.
Interest meetings for each organization vary throughout the fall or spring semester. In order to participate in Sorority Showcase and Fraternity Forecast, contact the Greek Life Office at 940-369-8463. A registration fee is required and will cover all the events of the week.
