computer resources
UNT offers extensive computer resources. Short courses each term or semester provide students with an opportunity to gain the expertise necessary to effectively use campus computer systems and resources.
A campuswide help desk service provides students with information and assistance on a variety of computing problems.
Wireless access
For students with a laptop or PDA, wireless access is available in most major academic buildings across campus, and expansion is ongoing.

General access computer labs
PCs with software and Internet connections are available in 14 labs. Five labs also include Macintosh computers and one lab (located in Willis Library) is open 24 hours a day. Many of the general access labs offer statistical analysis and data presentation packages, including SAS, SPSS, Minitab and S-Plus, and all offer computer-based training programs.

Computer lab for graduate students only
The Graduate General Access Lab is open to all graduate students with a valid ID card. Located on the second floor of the Information Sciences Building, it includes PC and Macintosh computers, a high-speed laser printer, a photo-quality color printer, a scanner with an automatic document feeder and software needed by graduate students.
Explore and enjoy a great library system
UNT's library system, the largest in the region, has been designated a major research library by the U.S. Department of Education. The university libraries house a collection of 6 million cataloged items in a variety of forms, with resources for all of UNT's graduate degree programs.
The library system is a member of the international Center for Research Libraries, enabling UNT graduate students to access an additional 4 million items for extended loan periods. UNT's libraries are open nearly 120 hours a week during the regular academic year and are served by 84 full-time staff members, including 49 librarians. Services include an online catalog with remote access, a large collection of electronic books and journals and other electronic resources, and membership in the Tex-Share consortium, which enables UNT to exchange materials with academic and public libraries across the state.

Music Library (fourth floor of Willis Library)
One of the largest music collections in the nation; includes scores and recordings from the special collections of Leon Breeden, Don Gillis, Stan Kenton and Whitt Ozier
Science and Technology Library (Information Sciences Building)
Journals and materials emphasizing the life sciences, chemistry, library science, psychology and physics; includes an outstanding mathematics collection and a curriculum materials collection
Discovery Park Library
Collection of journals and materials focused on computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, engineering systems, materials science, and mechanical and energy engineering
Media Library (Chilton Hall)
Audiovisual materials and computer software collections, plus a growing collection of multimedia and interactive resources
