In addition to the M.S. degree, we offer a dual degree with a Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Hospitality Management and graduate academic certificates in hospitality management and event management. The M.S. degree can be obtained as part of a residential program or totally online.
Our courses are taught by experienced faculty members who are actively involved in industry research involving hotel and restaurant operations, legal and regulatory aspects, profitability, and consumer issues. Other research interests include quality management, services marketing and management, managerial competencies, food safety, nutrition and dining habits of consumers, tourism, sustainability, information technology, finance, and hospitality education and administration.
As a graduate student, you can take advantage of networking and job opportunities with an industry board of governors who work in national and international hospitality companies such as Aimbridge Hospitality, American Airlines Publishing, Boston Market, ClubCorp, the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center, Hyatt Regency, Applebee’s, John Q.Hammons Hotels & Resorts, PepsiCo Foodservice, Omni Hotels, Travelocity, and UniFocus, among others.
