The strength of a university resides in its faculty. UNT is committed to excellence in teaching and the discovery and application of knowledge through research and creative activities.
To ensure the highest level of academic success, only full-time faculty at the rank of assistant professor or higher are allowed to direct students in the graduate program.

Take advantage of class location options
Distance learning: A Convenient Way to Earn your Degree
More and more students each year are opting for distance learning courses and programs. In Fall 2006, more than 9,200 graduate and undergraduate students took such courses.
UNT has emerged as a leader in electronically delivered education. The university is the largest provider of online credit courses among Texas public universities.

UNT Dallas Campus: Another way to attend UNT
Many residents of the Dallas-Fort Worth region take classes at UNT in Denton, but other options are now available. A growing number of graduate programs are offered at the UNT Dallas Campus, located at the intersection of Camp Wisdom and Houston School roads just north of Interstate 20. With panoramic views of the downtown Dallas skyline, the $25 million, three-story building is visible for miles around. The 266-acre campus is the site of the future UNT Dallas, which will become a separate university in the UNT System - Dallas' first public university - in 2009.
Courses and programs at the Dallas Campus are of the same high quality as those offered at the Denton campus, and degrees granted are the same as those earned by students at UNT in Denton.
