IT Help Center & Knowledgebase

The CITC has released the new IT Help Center. Here you can report computing related issues you are having. In addition we are now using a new Knowledgebase which will contain answers to commonly asked questions.
In the Problem Reporting area, now located on the left hand side of the page, you can find links to the IT Help Center, as well as links allowing you to view current and past campus wide outages.

Support staff can find more information regarding the new ticketing system at http://itsm.unt.edu.

Phishing Email

It has been reported that recently Phishing Email Messages have been sent out to UNT students. Be aware that the Help Desk will not send out email messages requesting sensitive information such as Passwords, or Social Security numbers. If you want to verify that an email was sent by the Help Desk you can contact us at 940-565-2324.

Verify or update your contact information to receive Eagle Alert messages http://www.unt.edu/eaglealert/.


Password Policy

Passwords expire every 120 days. If you are having trouble logging into a website your password may be expired. You can reset your password at http://ams.unt.edu (AMS).

You can check your password expiration date, or set a password expiration reminder after logging in at AMS . For more information on AMS and changing your password look under the Internet Services section of the Student tab.


eCampus News

New eCampus Log-in Page

Vista has been updated to a new version, and is now called eCampus. There is also a new log-in page which can be accessed at the New Ecampus Site! http://ecampus.unt.edu . If you have trouble logging in at that site you can also try logging in at http://helpdesk.unt.edu/ecampus .

Be ready with the correct Java

Java Version 1.6 is now the recommended version of Java for eCampus.
Visit the WebCT Vista Java Page! for help on Downloading the correct version of Java.
If Java Version 1.6 causes problems, you can still find the older java 1.5.0_07 here.
