Employee Self-Service

What is Employee Self-Service?

Employee Self-Service allows you to access much of the data that is maintained about you in EIS. Not all information can be viewed or updated online in EIS, therefore, some changes to your information will continue to be made through traditional channels. The great advantage of the Self-Service feature is that you can see what needs to be updated because you have direct access to view your biographic and demographic data, paycheck data, benefits data, etc. The data is available to you at all times except for scheduled EIS maintenance times. To access the Employee Self-Service features, you must go through the University of North Texas portal (referred to as MyUNT) at http://my.unt.edu.

What is MyUNT?

MyUNT is a University of North Texas portal designed to provide a central web location where UNT community members can access the Enterprise Information System (EIS) and other available online services using a single login. You can view institutional news, events, information resources and your Human Resources information and services. You can either use the Enterprise Menu (located in the left column of the MyUNT login page) or click the For Employees tab on the MyUNT login page to access your Human Resources information and services. Clicking the My On-Line Services link opens the self-service pages.

What Do I Need to Access MyUNT?

  1. The website address - http://my.unt.edu.
  2. Your EUID - every employee has an EUID (Enterprise User ID) assigned to them. If you are uncertain as to what your EUID is, click the What's My EUID link on the MyUNT login page. If you have not previously activated your EUID, click the Activate My EUID (new users) link on the MyUNT login page.
  3. Your Password associated with your EUID - If you have forgotten or never set up a password for your EUID, click the Need Help With Your Password link on the MyUNT login page.

What Information is Available to be Seen in Self-Service?

Information that can be seen online through MyUNT is as follows:

  • Your personal information: home/mailing address, phone numbers, email addresses, emergency contacts, etc.
  • Your benefits information:  what medical, insurance, retirement, leave, etc. you are currently enrolled in.
  • Your payroll information:  paycheck history, compensation history, direct deposit account information, W-4 information and general deductions (e.g. parking, rec sports, long term care, etc.)
  • Your training information: classes that you have enrolled in beginning May 2004.

Simply clicking on the links will open new menu items related to that function.

What Information is Currently NOT Available in Self-Service?

  1. Data before September 1, 2003 is not available to been seen in EIS.  Although the data is not readily available to been seen online, it will be preserved in a data warehouse for historical and reporting purposes.
  2. Items such as leave balances and education are currently not available in self-service.  However, these items will be added in the future.
