| Filing Complaints | |
| A complaint should be presented to the first-line supervisor for discussion and consideration within ten working days of the date of the action or condition giving rise to the complaint. If a complaint is not satisfactorily resolved by the first-line supervisor, the complainant may present his or her complaint in writing to each subsequent level of management as described in the Complaint/Grievance Procedure, Classification Number 1.7.2.1, until resolved or until it is presented to the appropriate division vice president for final consideration and action. (Any written complaint should be copied to the Assistant Director for Employee Relations & Training, Human Resources.) A written complaint should include a statement of the condition giving rise to the complaint, the desired resolution of the complaint, and any relevant documentation. Please refer to the University of North Texas Policy Manual, Volume I, Number 1.7.2 for more information on filing a formal complaint. |
