Explanation of Variance/Comments:
The increase in hours "Paid from
Appropriated Funds" and "Paid from All Other Funds" over the
preceding quarter is primarily due to seasonal employment fluctuations and
hiring. The decrease in hours "Paid from Appropriated Funds"
from the first quarter of last year (FY 2003) is due to several positions
(employees) being transferred from UNT's (752) payroll to the UNT System's
(769) payroll effective 9-1-2003, and due to position vacancies remaining
from the hiring freeze as a result of the budget cuts implemented during the
last two quarters of FY 2003.
