University of North Texas Human Resources Department | Retiree Services: Continuing Academic and Professional Services (CAPS)



	The Primary Functions of CAPS
	to promote and foster active participation of retired faculty/staff and their spouses in the life of the university to serve as a communications vehicle between the university and the retired faculty/staff and their spouses to preserve the retiree's sense of status as an individual and as a member of the University of North Texas to enable retirees to continue making contributions that will benefit the institution and society at-large
	CAPS council members focus on ways to achieve the goals of the program and strengthen the relationship between the retirees and the University. The council meets on a quarterly basis. The current council is chaired by Horace Brock. Other members are Mike Amador, Ryan Barnhart, Reggie Bond, Doris Coy, Jack Cross, Frank Halstead, Bert Hayslip, Nancy Horvat, Peter Lane, Cora Martin, Rachel Mays, Rita Powell, Bob Rogers, Rollie Schafer, David Shrader, Kris Staples, and Hal Wilkerson. Ex-officio members include Lisa Garner, Donna Shell, and Paula Yosten.
