Angelou to speak at UNT April 20
UNT's
Division of Equity and Diversity will host a performance by Maya Angelou
at 7 p.m. April 20 in the UNT Coliseum. She will be presented with a UNT
honorary doctor of humane letters degree.

The UNT Student Health and Wellness Center will be honored with the first
Best Practices in College Health Award by the American College Health
Association June 10 at the ACHA national conference in New Orleans.

Major
retailer touts UNT's merchandising program as one of the best in
the nation
UNT
has one of the best merchandising programs in the nation, according to
Roland Hearns, vice president of recruitment and placement for Saks Inc.
Hearns recognized UNT's program and research conducted by two UNT faculty
members at the National Retail Federation's annual convention in January
in New York City.

Economist:
Elite female college basketball players worth $300,000 a season
When
the starting players take the floor Sunday and Tuesday at the NCAA Women's
Final Four in New Orleans, they will be putting the finishing touches
on individual seasons that saw each generate an estimated $300,000 for
their respective universities, according to a UNT economist.

Survey shows UNT students
a bit more liberal than peers
With
a majority supporting legal marital status for same-sex couples and decreasing
penalties for marijuana possession, respondents to a UNT student survey
are slightly more liberal than respondents to the University of California
at Los Angeles' most recent American Freshman survey.
