Refined UNT brand to be unveiled April 27 at public campaign launch

UNT will officially unveil an updated look for the university with a Discover UNT event at 10 a.m. April 27 in the University Union's Silver Eagle Suite. Marks for academic and spirit or athletic uses will be unveiled along with a new and brighter version of UNT's green school color.

The refined branding marks are how the university will represent itself visually and verbally, says Deborah Leliaert, vice president for university relations. The brand is designed to help UNT distinguish itself from other universities and encourage public awareness.

The refined branding marks are being launched in conjunction with UNT's new academic plan.

"The academic plan sets a path for our future as an emerging research university that uniquely reflects our heritage, our strengths and our vision," says Celia Williamson, special assistant to the provost.

Leliaert says that both the academic plan and the branding campaign are grounded in the university's core values and defined by UNT's unique personality.

"We have created a variety of exciting marks and taglines that capture UNT's caring, creative and progressive spirit as well as the university's dedication to diversity and excellence," says Leliaert.
