Ideas sought from UNT to rename Avenue D/E

The UNT Traditions Committee is seeking ideas from members of the UNT community for a suitable new name for Avenue D/E, which enters the southern portion of campus from Interstate 35, then borders the campus on the far west side.

Lindsay Keffer, associate director of the University Union and UNT Traditions Committee chair, says the committee is searching for a street name that reflects the unique culture and image of the university.

All name suggestions will be considered by Fred Pole, vice president for administrative affairs. Information about when the street might be renamed is not yet available, Keffer says.

Ideas may be mailed to the UNT Traditions Committee, P.O. Box 310710, Denton, Texas, 76203-0710, or sent through campus mail in care of Keffer at the University Union.
