Inhouse@UNT awarded for improvements District IV of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education recently honored InHouse@UNT by awarding the publication a Circle of Excellence award for most improved periodical. The award was one of 14 CASE honors earned by Public Affairs and Information Services a new PAIS record. Public information officer Rufus Coleman was honored for his entry "Caught up in the Web" in general feature writing. Kelley Reese, assistant director of news and information, earned two awards one for her entry "Operatic Voices" in general feature writing and another for her medical/scientific feature writing entry, "Green Warrior." Photographer Angilee Wilkerson received five honors in the color photography, color series, and digital or computer-enhanced images categories. UNT student and freelance illustrator Shannon Mooney earned a CASE award for her graphic illustration "Accents Speak Louder Than Words," and PAIS graphic designer Diana Bracken was awarded for her graphic illustration, "Brainwaves." Two other individual publications were honored with CASE awards. Resource, UNT's research magazine, won in the category of magazine design complete unit. The North Texan won in the categories of magazine design four-color and visual design cover. In addition to its CASE awards, PAIS also received two Admissions Marketing Report awards. A bronze honor was awarded in the category of magazine advertising/series and a merit honor was awarded in the video viewbook category.
