Graduate Student Council offering scholarships

The deadline to apply for one of four $1,000 scholarships available to all UNT graduate students is quickly approaching. Master's and doctoral students have until April 15 to complete scholarship applications.

The recently reinstituted Graduate Student Council, a body of students that serves as an active voice for UNT graduate students, made giving back to the student body a priority when it was reactivated last semester, according to Allison Morrow, GSC president.

Scholarship hopefuls must be degree-seeking graduate students, enrolled in at least six hours of graduate-credit course work.

Of the four scholarships available, Morrow says at least one is awarded each year to a student seeking a master's degree and at least one is awarded to a student seeking a doctoral degree.

Applications and information are available at www.gsc.unt.edu. Questions may be submitted by sending e-mail to untgradstudents@hotmail.com.
