New InHouse@UNT format to launch in September For almost 14 years, UNT faculty and staff have received news about the campus in this publication. But this issue marks the last time university employees will receive InHouse@UNT in its current printed format.
Administrators to propose 2 percent merit raise pools for UNT faculty and staff UNT plans to ask the UNT System Board of Regents this month to approve the proposed 2005-06 budget, which includes more than $4 million for salary improvements, says Phil Diebel, vice president for finance and business affairs. The UNT System Board of Regents will consider several items, including a new campus master plan for UNT Denton and the first campus plan for UNT at Dallas at its Aug. 18-19 meeting in Fort Worth.
UNT to use multimillion-dollar bequest to fund unique research of behavior analysis UNT's Department of Behavior Analysis has now received most of the more than $3 million that Beatrice H. Barrett left to the department upon her death in 2003. Barrett was the former director of the Behavior Prosthesis Laboratory at the Walter E. Fernald State School in Waltham, Mass., and a prominent behavioral researcher.
About 900 students are enrolled in UNT's Honors College for its inaugural year, which kicked off Aug. 1 with a celebration attended by dozens of faculty members, students and graduates.
