North Texas Community College Consortium

The North Texas Community College Consortium is a regional network enabling member institutions to achieve more, improve quality and reduce costs through collaboration. Appropriately, the consortium's motto is "communicating, collaborating, cooperating."

Currently the consortium includes 25 community and junior colleges in North Texas and Oklahoma. UNT serves as the university affiliate for the consortium, providing office space (Highland Hall, Suite 206) and additional support.

The consortium's primary mission is to provide professional development and growth opportunities for faculty members, administrators and support staff of member institutions (including UNT) through seminars, symposia, conferences, workshops, dialogues and regular consortiumwide communications.

Additionally, the consortium supports member college and consortiumwide activities in institutional planning, research and effectiveness; resource development; global education; and overall improvement of communication and collaboration among community colleges and between member community colleges and UNT.

Some 1,600 faculty members, administrators and support staff members participated in last year's professional development events and leadership activities.
