Leadership Texas scholarship funds available

Applications are now available for the UNT Leadership Texas scholarship, sponsored and funded by the Office of the President. The scholarship pays for the Leadership Texas program, which encourages women to excel in prominent leadership roles in corporate, public and community sectors.

Each year about 100 women, who represent both rural and urban areas, are selected to participate in the program. The UNT scholarship winner will attend five three-day sessions throughout the year in various cities across the state. 

All women who are full-time faculty members or full-time staff members in professional, executive and administrative positions are encouraged to apply. One applicant will be selected as the UNT nominee by the UNT alumni of the Leadership Texas program and President Norval Pohl.

Applications are available in the Office of Equity and Diversity, Hurley Administration Building, Room 121, or at www.leadershiptexas.org. The deadline for submitting the application is Sept. 1.
