Faculty members honored at annual convocation ceremony

Several faculty members were honored at the annual Faculty Convocation Aug. 19. The awards and recipients included:

President's Council University Teaching Awards — Patricia Moseley, professor of teacher education and administration; Earl Zimmerman, professor and chair of the Department of Biological Sciences.

President's Council University Service Award — the late Cliff Hardy, professor of teacher education and administration.

PDI Fellows, College of Business Administration — Gopala Ganesh, professor of marketing and logistics; Sherry Ryan, assistant professor of business computer information systems.

Toulouse Scholar Award — Cindy K. McTee, Regents Professor of music.

International Education Award — Peyton Foster Roden, Regents Professor of finance, insurance, real estate and law.

J.H. Shelton Excellence in Teaching Award — Lou Pelton, associate professor of marketing and logistics.

University Forum on Teaching, Learning and Assessment's Pursuit of Excellence in Teaching Awards — Diane Negra, assistant professor of radio, television and film.

Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation Award — Frank Feigert, Regents Professor of political science.

Charn Uswachoke International Development Fund Awards — Diana Block, gallery director in the School of Visual Arts; Steven Friedson, professor of music; Stanley Ingman, professor of applied gerontology and sociology; Arminta Jacobson, associate professor of counseling, development and higher education; Kimi King, associate professor of political science; Jim Meernik, associate professor and chair of the Department of Political Science; Carlos Ordonez, associate professor of physics; Sue Parks, librarian; Mitty Plummer, associate professor of engineering technology; Richard Reidy, assistant professor of materials science; Jennifer Way, assistant professor of visual arts.
