PERTINENT FACTS

Interim Dean of the College of Music, Dr. William A. May, Jr., accepted a position as Dean of the School of Music at Baylor University, beginning the fall semester 2000. Dr. Thomas S. Clark, Associate Dean of the College of Music, has agreed to serve as Interim Dean, during which time a national search will continue for a Dean for the UNT College of Music. This interim appointment and the resulting contract are in the best interest of the University.

RECOMMENDATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS

It is recommended that the Board of Regents confirm the following appointment, effective August 1, 2000.
