Parking permit deadlines approach; new payment plan implemented

The parking office now allows payment of parking permits by a monthly plan using payroll deductions.

This new service, which is free and requires no down payment, will allow Parking and Transportation Services to deduct the cost of the permit from paychecks over nine months, beginning in October.

Permits can be purchased or renewed through inter-campus mail through Aug. 11. Employees who choose this option can have their new permits mailed directly to their department or can have them sent to their home address by enclosing a self-addressed envelope. Fees have increased to $110 for reserved "A" permits and $70 for faculty and staff "D" permits.

Permits also may be purchased or renewed in person beginning Aug. 7 in the parking office, located inside the Sullivant Visitor Center next to the Murchison Performing Arts Center.

Current permits expire Aug. 26.
