IV. AGENCY PHILOSOPHY

The first and foremost responsibility of the University of North Texas is to meet the educational needs of Texas citizens. Our primary purpose is to educate future Texas leaders through partnerships with private and public organizations that help prepare the workforce of the future, and to conduct research and offer outreach programs that enhance the quality of life for Texas citizens. As a metropolitan, research university and the region's largest and most comprehensive institution of higher education, UNT also seeks to provide the highest possible services to help address the social, cultural, and economic needs of the North Texas area.
