SULLIVANT PUBLIC SAFETY CENTER

PERTINENT FACTS

At the May 2001 meeting, the Board of Regents selected an architect for the renovation of the MARC Building for use by the Police, Parking and Transportation Department. The renovated building will include the following functions:

Offices

Conference rooms

Computer room

Communications center

Locker rooms

Uniform storage

Ammunition storage

The design of the project is nearing completion and construction bids will be received no later than September 11.

RECOMMENDATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS

The President recommends, with the concurrence of the Chancellor, that the Board of Regents approve:

The renovation of the Sullivant Public Safety Center at a construction cost not to exceed $1,135,000.

2. Authorize the Executive Committee of the Board of Regents to be notified upon award of the construction contract.
