PURCHASE OF PROPERTY AT 917 PRAIRIE STREET

PERTINENT FACTS

The University has the opportunity to purchase the property located at 917 Prairie Street. It consists of a single story three-bedroom house on a 0.29 acre residential lot.  This property is bounded on all sides by University owned property.  It would be prudent to make this purchase in order to continue development of the campus in accordance with the University Master Plan.

RECOMMENDATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS

It is recommended that the Board of Regents approve:

1. Purchase of the property at 917 Prairie Street for an amount not to exceed the appraisal price plus applicable closing costs. 

2. Submission of the property purchase request to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board for approval.
