Not too late to buy New Orleans Bowl tickets

For the fourth year in a row, Mean Green football players and fans are spending part of December in the Big Easy. As Sun Belt Conference champions, UNT will play Southern Mississippi in the Wyndham New Orleans Bowl Dec. 14.

Kickoff time in the Louisiana Superdome is 6:30 p.m. If you're planning to attend and haven't bought your tickets yet, you can still purchase them today and Saturday through the UNT athletic ticket office. Tickets cost $22 for current UNT students with valid student identification and $42 for all other seats. Tickets can be reserved by calling the athletic ticket office at (940) 565-2527 or (800) UNT-2366.

Special events scheduled before the game include the Mean Green Mania party Dec. 13 from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the House of Blues in the French Quarter, and a pregame party Dec. 14 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency adjacent to the Superdome. Tickets to Mean Green Mania are $30 and tickets to the pregame party are $15. A total package that includes a game ticket and admission to both events is $87.

You may also purchase tickets to the game and the parties Dec. 13 and 14 in New Orleans at the Wyndham Canal Place, which is the official UNT team hotel. Athletics will sell tickets Dec. 13 and 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the hotel.

If you can't go to New Orleans, you can watch the game on ESPN. The University Union Syndicate will host a game-watching party.
