UNT experts prove to be useful media resourcesRadio interview

Since the terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C., on Sept. 11, national, statewide and local media coverage has been heavily weighted toward the attack on America, terrorism and the war in Afghanistan.

In anticipation of media calls for the UNT scholarly community’s insights on the tragedies, the Lists of UNT experts were distributed to media on the afternoon of Sept. 11 . Among areas of expertise covered were military strategy, military history, terrorism, emergency administration, extremist groups, Middle Eastern politics, the economic consequences of the attack, counseling, play therapy and other related subjects.

The results have been substantial.

Nationally, UNT’s experts have been interviewed or cited by the Associated Press, the Atlanta Constitution, the Boston Herald, CNN, the Chronicle of Higher Education, Cox News Service, Fox News Network, the Hartford Courant, the Kansas City Star, Kiplinger’s News Service, Knight Ridder News Service, the Los Angeles Times, MSNBC, NPR Weekly Edition, National Public Radio’s Morning Edition, the New York Times, Newsday, the Pittsburgh Gazette, the Tampa Tribune, the San Diego Union, the Seattle Times, Univision, USA Today and the Wall Street Journal, among others.UNT expert on television
