Looking for a way to jazz up your holiday season? How about a pre-holiday jaunt to New Orleans to support UNT's Mean Green in the first-ever New Orleans Bowl? And as an added bonus, you can join fellow Mean Green backers for some spicy Cajun cooking and hot New Orleans jazz.

UNT and Colorado State University will meet on the Superdome field at 7 p.m. Dec. 18. Game tickets are $40 each and are available through the UNT athletics ticket office by calling 565-2527.

UNT fans will have a chance to enjoy New Orleans' legendary food and music – and get pumped up for tough Mean Green action — through several pregame activities.

Mean Green bowl events include a soirée Dec. 17 at the famous House of Blues at 225 Decatur St. The $25 charge includes traditional Cajun cuisine and plenty of entertainment, and it all gets under way at 8:30 p.m.

On game day, UNT fans are invited to join a spirit rally and yell practice at 4 p.m. between the Riverwalk Marketplace and the Superdome.

To top off UNT's pregame activities, a tailgate party is planned at 5:15 p.m. inside the Superdome at Gate G. Tailgate party tickets are $15 each.

Attendance at the House of Blues party and the tailgate party requires reservations, which can be made by calling 565-2527. Tickets for all reservations made after Dec. 7 will be available at will-call locations at the events. Will-call game tickets can be picked up at Gate G.
