In-Plant Graphics honors three UNT service providers

UNT Printing Services, Eagle Images Copy Center and Mail Services recently ranked No. 25 in In-Plant Graphics' list of top-performing university plants nationwide.

The recognition was announced in the December issue of In-Plant Graphics, a publication that highlights market trends, successful operations, and new equipment and technology available to in-plant printing operations throughout the country. The rankings are conducted annually and compare sales and number of employees to determine how efficient an operation is run.

UNT was ranked No. 58 compared to inhouse plants from all categories, including universities, government agencies, retail/wholesale, insurance/financial and manufacturing.

"Our departments have improved our efficiencies by acquiring the new digital technologies that have become available to the graphics and mail industry," says Jimmy Friend, director of UNT Printing Services, Eagle Images Copy Center and Mail Services. "I believe our ranking is higher because each of our areas has changed to the new equipment/technologies, which have allowed us to be more productive and efficient and to better serve the university community."
