UNT Psychology Clinic to offer counseling on overcoming negative feelings

The UNT Psychology Clinic will offer a counseling group this semester for those who are experiencing difficulty with certain emotions.

The Letting Go group, open to individuals age 18 and up, is aimed at those who have felt deeply hurt by others' actions, harbor anger toward people who have injured or offended them, struggle with desires for revenge, or have experienced shame, guilt or public humiliation through others' actions. The cost to participate is $30.

The group will meet for eight weeks on Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. beginning Feb. 21. It will not meet March 21 while UNT is closed for Spring Break.

Two UNT counseling psychology graduate students under the supervision of UNT psychology faculty will lead the Letting Go group.

To register, call Iris Taber or Andrea Gonterman at the UNT Psychology Clinic, 565-2631.
