FUNDING DESIGN COSTS FOR STUDENT RECREATION CENTER
PERTINENT FACTS
At its November 17, 2000 meeting the Board of Regents authorized the use of Higher Education Assistance Funds (HEAF) to pay for design costs related to the Student Recreational Sports facility not to exceed $350,000. The appropriate source of funds to pay for these expenses should be Institutional funds. The Institutional funds expended are to be paid back from bond proceeds should the Legislature authorize the University to collect a Student Recreation Sports fee.
RECOMMENDATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS
The President, with the concurrence of the Chancellor, recommends that the Board of Regents approve the use of Institutional funds to pay for design costs of the Student Recreational Sports facility as described above.
