Women in higher education take the spotlight at the seventh annual conference of the UNT Commission on the Status of Women set for March 7 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The conference, titled, "Changing the Portrait of Leadership One Woman at a Time: Working Women's Wellness," will be in the Silver Eagle Suite of the University Union.
Williams is also the founding director of Agnes Scott College's Atlanta Semester Program for Women, Leadership and Social Change. Her research has focused on factors affecting women in nontraditional careers, women's leadership, experiential learning and women's studies, and the sociological aspects of women and work. Early registration ends March 1, and those who do not register by this date will be unable to attend the luncheon portion of the conference. Registration is $30 or, for students, $15. After the
luncheon, Elaine Sullivan of Sullivan Associates will speak on the topic
"Integrating Mind, Body and Spirit Through Story." Sullivan's
address will be followed by a brief discussion period.
