Program features research

Through the Ronald E. McNair Research Program at UNT, undergraduate students are obtaining university degrees while they contribute their research to numerous subjects. microscope

The UNT campus community has the opportunity to learn more from these promising students at the fourth annual Texas McNair Research Conference. UNT program participants are among 120 McNair Scholar representatives from around the nation presenting their research on campus. The annual McNair conference is at the Environmental Education, Science and Technology Building Feb. 22-24.

The McNair program is part of TRIO, a group of federal programs directly responsible for making educational opportunities available to underrepresented groups nationally.

Presentation topics include the physical and life sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities, education, and business.

U.S. Department of Education TRIO Director Robert Belle is providing the keynote address, while President Norval Pohl is offering closing comments.
