wins federal funds
Thanks
to a federal appropriation secured by U.S. Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson,

Gift creates UNT euphonium endowment
Sara
Neal Eskew presented a gift of $150,000 for the creation of the Larry
Roark Euphonium Scholarship at the UNT College of Music Dec. 17 in
memory of her husband, who was killed in a car accident in 2001.

progress The Eagle Point Campus project is on schedule
for the opening of Victory Hall — the new 600-bed residence
hall — and a new dining hall in August. The residence hall
pads have been poured with concrete, and the first-floor steel
panels have been erected. Concrete support columns for the lower
level of the new athletic center are also being formed. |
Equity,
diversity workshop set
The annual
UNT Equity and Diversity Conference and pre-conference begins Feb.
25, with the first Texas regional Stop the Hate! Campus Bias and
Hate Crime Prevention Train the Trainer Program.

of oratorio set for Jan. 29
The
UNT Baroque Ensemble and Collegium Singers will participate in
three performances of Handel's oratorio Jephtha this month, including
one on campus.
