UNT beats SECC $100,000-goal by $28,172

Members of the UNT faculty and staff set an all time participation record in the 2000 SECC campaign by making 873 donations, an 11.5-percent increase over last year. The faculty showed the largest increase, with 89 more individual contributions than last year.

The total amount donated - $128,172 - put UNT over its $100,000 goal by more than 28 percent and was a 3.7-percent increase over last year.

In a note to 2000 SECC chairs Jean Bush and Bob Bland, President Norval Pohl expressed his sentiment regarding the success of the campaign.

"Your efforts for these past two years have caused the university to take a new and welcome direction and clearly established higher expectations for us, both collectively and individually," Pohl wrote.
