UNT departments on the move

It's summertime at UNT and that means it's time for a little house cleaning and rearranging. Three departments are finding new homes on campus this summer.

On June 1, the offices of the engineering technology department chair relocated to Suite 254 in the Engineering Technology Building. The office previously operated out of Suite 120.

Moving into Suite 120 of the Engineering Technology Building is the founding dean of the new College of Engineering, Oscar N. Garcia. His official move-in date was July 1.

Also new at UNT is the Student Recreation Center. The center won't open until August, but in July the recreational sports office will relocate from the Physical Education Building to the new facility. The office of the assistant dean and director of recreational sports will move into Room 106 in the building.

Finally, about 296 students will be the first to move into Traditions Hall in August. UNT's newest student housing facility is located at the corner of Prairie and North Texas Boulevard.
