Davison named manager of bookstore

Rodney Davison, a former UNT Bookstore employee, has returned as manager.

Davison began working in the University Union bookstore while he was a student at UNT in 1988. After three years, Davison became assistant department manager for the bookstore, and in 1993 he became merchandise manager.

In 1997, he continued his work with bookstores by becoming a field trainer for Follett Corp., UNT's bookstore partner. As a trainer, Davison was responsible for corporate training and installing point-of-sale systems in bookstores.

In November 1998, Davison became manager of the University of Dallas bookstore in Irving.

As manager at UNT, Davison is responsible for running North Texas Book and Supply, located on Avenue C, as well as the bookstore in the University Union.

The university owns the UNT Bookstore, but Follett owns the inventory. Follett pays UNT a percentage of sales for books and merchandise sold at the stores.

"We're glad to have Rodney back," says Chuck Fuller, director of business services. "It's good having someone who is familiar with the university and has experience in bookstore management. Rodney has both."
