PURCHASE OF PROPERTY AT 1115 MAPLE STREET

PERTINENT FACTS

The University has the opportunity to purchase the property located at 1115 Maple Street. The property consists of single story, two-bedroom house, on a 0.14 acre residential lot. This property is bounded on the east by University owned property and is located across the street from Parking Lots 33 and 36. It would be prudent to make this purchase in order to continue development of the campus in accordance with the University Master Plan.

RECOMMENDATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS

It is recommended that the Board of Regents approve:

1. Purchase of the property at 1115 Maple Street for an amount not to exceed $68,000 plus applicable closing costs.
2. Submission of the property purchase request to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board for approval.
