Staff members earn awards at sack lunch

Several staff members were honored at the Chancellor's Staff Sack Lunch May 9.

Recognized as outstanding employees were Jane Wulf, Dining Services; Pamela Conrad, Department of Rehabilitation, Social Work and Addictions; Dot Whatley, Physical Plant; and Margaret Vestal, University Planning.

Outstanding department/group awards were presented to Student Financial Aid and Scholarships and to the Academic Peer Advisers in the Housing Office.

The UNT Discovery Program in the College of Education received the Eagle Partner Award.


UNT Discovery Program

The Risk Management and Environmental Services office was recognized for receiving the Bronze Safety Award from the State Office of Risk Management. The award is based on the university's safety record.

Jon Gambold of the University Police Department received an award for his Top Ideas in Productivity and Savings (TIP$) suggestion. He received $50 for suggesting the use of rubbing alcohol to remove graffiti in a bathroom.

Soaring Eagles faculty, staff and student employees nominated by their peers for outstanding service were also recognized.
