Union Gallery welcomes staff arts and crafts show this month

Organizers of the "It's Your Thing" UNT staff arts and crafts show are seeking entries from any staff member with an interesting craft or hobby to share.

The exhibit will be in the University Union Gallery.

"It's just a fun opportunity for staff members to show off some of their hobbies," says Carol Wilkinson, manager of Union Design Works, the group that manages the Union Gallery.

Entries are being accepted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 26 and 27 and should be brought to Union Design Works, located on level 2 of the Union.

There is a limit of one entry per person. The exhibit will showcase a variety of arts and crafts, including sewing, photography and embroidery. Staff members are encouraged to enter photos of hobbies that cannot be displayed or are too large to display, such as gardening plots or restored cars.

The items will be on display in the Union Gallery June 30 to July 17. The public and all art show participants are invited to a reception from 3 to 5 p.m. June 30. For more information, contact Wilkinson at (940) 565-3829 or send e-mail to wilkinson@usl.unt.edu.
