DELEGATION OF SIGNATURE AUTHORITY

The State Comptroller allows the Board of Regents to authorize the head of an agency to designate which employees should approve vouchers and to revoke those designations when necessary. This procedure relieves the Board of having to approve signature authority each time employees with such authority change.

It is recommended that the Board of Regents authorize the Chancellor to designate the appropriate employees to approve vouchers and sign checks on University of North Texas System accounts, and to revoke those designations when necessary.
