Recipients were Allen Clark, Office of Institutional Research and Accreditation; Ben Dearman, Registrar’s Office; Eric DuChemin, Computing and Information Technology Center; and Ruby Raines, Office of the Senior Vice President for Administration. Outstanding department awards went to Athletics, the School of Comm-unity Service Student Services Office and the Office of Planning and Advancement for Student Development. Deborah Leliaert, vice president for university relations, made a short presentation about the university’s branding campaign. Easels displaying the brand marks were on display for attendees to view. The question-and-answer session opened with a thank you for the recent installation of hot water in Chilton Hall and a positive comment about the branding initiative. Pohl then addressed questions submitted by the audience on a variety of topics, including the safety of dye in the water of the Library Mall fountain, whether the fountain is equipped to turn off during the rain, the need for a cost of living raise for staff, parking permit costs, the Faculty and Staff Scholarship program, motorists playing loud music on campus, the creation of a January term, and the status of the Responsibility Center Management Committee’s study of the RCM concept.
