Six Faculty recognized at UNT's annual Honors Day celebration
Six faculty members were recognized during the Honors Day celebration April 16 for their contributions to the university. Each spring, UNT honors its students for academic excellence and presents faculty with student-awarded honors for service to the UNT community and high-quality teaching.
UNT students win top awards in Texas broadcast competition
Two UNT students won awards in three categories in the annual Texas Associated Press Broadcasters awards competition, while another UNT student received an honorable mention award.

Pohl appointed to SACS Commission on Colleges
UNT President Norval F. Pohl has accepted an appointment extended by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to fill an unexpired term.

Summer camps for children planned at UNT
UNT will host several camps this summer in which children of UNT faculty and staff are eligible to participate.
UNT prepares to welcome area youth for National Youth Sports Program
About 300 Denton County preteens and teens will visit UNT this summer to combine basic instruction of organized sports with classes on alcohol and drug abuse prevention, math and science, higher education, nutrition and other topics.
