Commencement is May 10

Around 1,300 students are set to graduate during spring commencement ceremonies May 10. Thomas J. Engibous, chair, president and chief executive officer of Texas Instruments Inc., will be the featured speaker at the general convocation at noon in the UNT Coliseum.

After the general convocation, graduation ceremonies will be held in the Coliseum for individual schools and colleges. Commencement for the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Education and the School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management will begin at 2:15 p.m. Commencement for the College of Business Administration, the School of Community Service, the School of Library and Information Sciences, the College of Music and the School of Visual Arts will follow at 5:15 p.m. There is a change in ceremony times this year due to another high-traffic event on campus the same day.

The noon commencement ceremony will be webcast by the Center for Media Production and televised by NTTV. The webcast can be viewed via a link on the UNT home page, www.unt.edu/commencement. A reception for graduates and their families will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Gateway Center.
