Formal letters of award were delivered to recipients earlier this semester. The grants support projects designed to enhance learning, specifically interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary instruction, and the use of technology to improve the learning experience. Grant funding comes from the Provost's Office. "This program gives our very talented faculty an opportunity to bring their creative talents directly into the classroom to enhance the learning experiences of our students," Johnson says." Johnson issued a request for proposals last fall and received 18 proposals totaling $383,784. A six-person subcommittee of faculty representatives from the Center for Distributed Learning Steering Committee evaluated each proposal.
